PLACE OF DEATH: Seredyna-Buda
DATE OF DEATH: 28.11.2023

Hello, hello! If I could, I would tell you a poem - I loved it so much when I was alive! But I have to tell you the story of how I passed away. My name is Bohdana, and my family called me nicely Dana, Danochka. I was born in a small town in the Sumy region called Seredyna-Buda, and I died there from shelling on 28 November 2023.

I grew up as mommy’s daughter: she had only me and I had only her. As a little girl, I mostly played with cars - cars and tractors. I disassembled and reassembled them. Then my preferences changed - I switched to dolls.

I adored riding in a car. I attended school with enthusiasm. I was good at drawing, modeling, and carving. And especially, as I said, I was good at reciting poetry. My teacher said that in the future I would become a speaker or an artist. In my free time, I played with children from the neighboring streets. We would gather in a huge group in our yard. Little by little, I helped my mother with the housework and cleaning.

My family was going to send me to dancing, music school or art classes. But they didn't have time...

On 28 November 2023, I was sitting in the car, waiting for my mother. She was about to come back from the store... A Russian shell fell next to the car. I was still alive when they took me, wounded, out of the car. I died in my mother's arms.

Now who will calm her down during the explosions? Who will say, as I once did, that soon everything will be fine? Who will just be around?
